" I was trying something that was extremely unlikely to be true and I accept responsibility for my foolishness"

By the time I had got to the stage of wanting to receive " knowledge" I was way past the "extremely unlikely to be true" stage of understanding and the brainwashing had already taken a hold. In other words the hooks had pierced me and the rest was just a matter of time. The whole " preparing for knowledge" process, in those long-ago-days ( and probably the same today with "The Keys"   was about being groomed and reeled in ( called "becoming more humble and sincere" or some such thing). The fear aspect was very , very important because once I had swallowed that this was the purpose of having a human body and that it had taken me thousands of lifetimes to reach this point and that if I blew it I might never get another chance etc etc plus the notion that amongst the faceless millions of humanity "I" had somehow been chosen....it was very scarey to think of walking away.

"Why do you think 99% of people told about Rawat and his "Knowledge" went "No Thanks" and headed for the nearest exit?"

It wasn't the " right" time for them. Premies used to say that about those who weren't susceptible to "satsang"and in a way it was true, but not in the way the premies meant . All the right circumstances ( now documented by those who have studied cults ),regarding the lives of those individuals, were not in place.I will search for this list ( probably compiled by Steve Hassan or Margaret Singer ) and and make a link.

I appreciate your persistence,Paddy in exploring this issue. Do you have any children or do you have a profession where you have contact with young people ? I repeat my opinion that the teenage years are an extremely sensitive time and our young people need vigilant protection from pernicious cults!
