OK Mods, thanks for doing a great job. Not easy dealing with a bunch of eccentric, intelligent, sensitive, caring, honest people of great integrity, I appreciate. We are of course all prima donnas! Anyway, I may disagree with you from time to time, but that is the spirit of the internet. Basically I am happy with your style, I just hate it when you delte me grrrr. OK On Topic. The positives. Moi, it is time to count the blessings of my years practising the meditation techniques and occasionally going to videos and sometimes feeling devoted. 1. The meditation techniques were helpful in one sense ( and I do not retract my statements about their inappropriateness- also they kept changing). I was able to isolate myself from the pain of losing someone I loved when it was too great to bear. I think practising the techniques gave me the courage to walk to death's door and hold someone's hand as they went through. I certainly saw them go with clear wide eyes. 2. I met some really nice people, and associated with what I knew was some really great people in the world. I am really happy that I have encountered most of you again here on the forum. Not that I knew you personally or anything, but we were part of the same group. That is what attracted me in the first place. The group that generated stunning experiences together of warmth and humanity and the sense of the greater and wider universe. I would like to sincerely say to the premie readers. Come on over, it is lots of fun here, just like the old days. 3. I learned to love the poetry of Kabir, and Mira (don't hold it against them that Rawat mentioned their names). And of course read more Kahlil Gibran. And other poetry of great beauty. 4. I had an intense experience of the sacredness of aboriginal culture while at Amaroo. I felt a deep connection to what they call the dreamtime. This connection I have felt at other places in Australia too. That is why I passionately want to give it back to the original Australians. It is a sacred place, to them. 5. The fact that there was a conman invoved is neither here nor there (proudly never kissed his feet, uggggh). The fact that he has misused his inherited or usurped position as a wise man of India I deeply regret. Not nice to see, but hey, not my problem. 6. This forum has been a wonderful opportunity to share views with a bunch of great people. It is an endless source of fascination to me that there is such a breadth of opinion, wit, depth, humour, and plain old niceness gathered here. So I think we should all give ourselves a pat on the back, and continue to enjoy each other's company while healing from past wounds. People who are wavering on whether to believe all those stories about Rawat, let me assure you, the truth does set you free. Come on over, we are having a lot of fun. love Nya |
