It's always good to know people stand. And it's even better when there are committees of people who can help decide what we can write about - which topics are taboo, inappropriate, etc. And we need that guidance for music, art, film and every artistic expression. God help us if people expressed themselves artistically and made us uncomfortable. We need more church ladies to guide us!
Thanks for setting me straight on the parameters, Paddy.
Paddy, I'll restrict my writing to gardening and cooking from now on so that you and all the other righteous minders of society are not offended.
I'm, like, so sorry.
P.S. Your post, Paddy, makes me even more certain that writing what I felt so wholeheartedly was the right thing to do and I should probably expand on it. If you missed the point, Paddy, the story was a journey of losing one's false faith in the midst of a tragedy. And that's a pretty common topic in literature, isn't it? Maybe for your sake I should have set it in Biblical times so it wouldn't be so raw and fresh and offensive to you.
