It's now 2005 and while there certainly were a few tragedies back in the 70's there were also lots of disturbed people who were looking for help and so tragedies of that nature were going to happen. There were also unnecessary tragedies: people dying in car accidents because they were working, satsanging and servicing for too many hours and falling asleep at the wheel. But that was 30 years ago.I have a lot of sympathy for Babaluji but he made the choices to leave his middle class road map and join a cult. I don't think too many of the poor blacks in New Orleans had the choices to leave the ghetto and jump into the middle class.
