However in this instance, while watching the horrifying destruction caused by Katrina on the telly and seeing the pics coming from the various " Domes" ( Inc. of course the Astrodome ), the vast number of distressed, displaced people travelling long distances and searching for their relatives etc ......I have been constantly reminded of the early days of premiedom .

Obviously the NewOrleans tragedy is hugely more traumatic and terrible but there are too many analogies to ignore and Baba summed up all the repressed memories that I have experienced on seeing the news coverage from the devastated area.

Sorry, but that's just how it is for me.

In Britain we use " black humour " a lot as a way of dealing with tragedy.
