I don't want to whine either - just express my opinion, and that's a very different thing. I thought it was important, in this forum of "Free Speech", (a phrase we use so vehemently to defend ourselves against EV), that we can and do express ourselves freely.

I just saw red this morning, as I found it impossible to comprehend why the post had been deleted. I've thought about it today, and I still don't understand why. I don't want to whine, or criticise the mods, who in general do a great job and have my support and respect. And I think they've made huge improvements too.

But if something happens that I feel is plain wrong, are you suggesting I should keep quiet? Not speak my mind? Just because you disagree doesn't mean to say you are 'right'. Doesn't mean I'm right either. That's what discussion is all about.

This forum has a history too. Anth posted all about it once, a while back. The 'keys' or password to this forum have, over the years, been passed along to different people. This history, in a business for example, would be referred to as "Goodwill". The mods do have a duty of care to that goodwill IMO. This forum is what it is today, in part, because of it's history. It's not just the MOD's forum, for them to do as they please. And to go and bleat " make your own forum" is such a cop out statement!! And infuriating too!

The mods are here to support us too, us readers and posters. Not just themselves and this forum.
