Do you think it is worth doing away with the personalities behind the arguments and looking at the arguments themselves?

The apology does contain a number of interesting points, I thought. I don't believe that other people haven't thought so too. I'd be interested to see what their ideas were.

A lot of the talk, pro and anti, seems to be centred around ad-hominems, whether it's people from either camp saying that the people from the other camp are crazy (a la the WayBack machine site I tried to link to before and the press releases put out by EV accusing a number of ex-premies of being crazy), or whether it's people saying that Mr Rawat is fat, lazy, greedy, whatever (based on pretty much exclusively hearsay evidence).

There's little in the way of criticism of the idea that peace is already in you, or that you, individually, just are God, or however you might want to interpret it, as disconnected from the Maharaji figure.
