d,OK, let's talk about peace. I agree that the feeling of being at peace is felt within you. But if by peace you mean some other world that can be entered by focussing within, then maybe there is such a place, but I strongly believe that a life spent searching for it would be a life missing all the wonder, joy, and beauty to be find in what we can call 'normal life'.
My life is so much much richer and fuller since I abandoned the search for some other-worldly 'enlightenment'. It makes sense - as long as I believed that true happiness and peace were to be found independent of the things of this world (as Rawat teaches but I must admit I already believed this before I came across him), then I was closed to experiencing joy and peace in the things of this world. I placed a veil between myself and the world and even though I participated in all the pleasures of this life, I was one step removed from them. Now life is much better without that veil.
So, d, that's my view. Live life and find the joy and peace there. As regards God, well that's a big subject, but I find no evidence that Rawat knows more on that subject than I do!
BTW, if you read the substantive articles on the website I manage, ex-premie.org, you will find hardly any attacks of the kind you dislike.
