Nya,

Many premies only recognise one friend - that imaginary one - so I really don't think John can depend on them if he ever stops living the lie.

John has been chewed up and spat out by Maharaji and his henchmen. Of course I feel compassion for him for that, as well as total disgust for all of those who were involved in destroying his spirit. In fact, whenever I read the premie apologists posting how we should move on or how wonderful knowledge is, I think of what Maharaji did to John.

There was a great deal of support for John all the way through his ordeal. His ex-premie friends did not desert him. However, John made his 'apology' and U-turn without any regard for those that had helped him. I know of several who paid dear and were severely compromised in doing so and he dropped them without so much as an email.

You said "I wrote to him and ended the friendship".

Have you written to him since? True friendship goes both ways. You sound like you have been very hurt by all of this too Nya. The ball is in John's court as far as some of those he hurt are concerned - it is too much to ask for more from them at this point.

I hope one day John recovers and finds the strength and courage to communicate with and thank those that stood by him and gave him the help he asked for. I think that will be an essential part of his own healing as well as healing his broken friendships.

Take care of yourself,

Bunny
