Thanks for your words of wisdom, Bunny, really appreciated.

No attempt made by John to explain himself to me. He has some fine personal qualities, but he is also very self-centred, and has no real clue that other people have subjective realities that require addressing in a social world. ( This is quite a common phenomenon amongst Australian males.)

Despite his perfidy and the personl cost of extending the hand of friendship to him, one cannot help but feel sorry that he has apparently put himself into a state of denial,(takes no responsibility for his actions) the most damaging psychological state of all.

It as true as somebody wrote that the damage is not recent, it is the damage that was done years ago.
