From the posts I've read on Forum 8, it appears that most of the ex-premies already know why. From wanting to find something more meaningful in life, to wanting to find inner peace. What they didn't expect was to find out that the person (or self-proclaim GOD) who said he could show them the way...was really an expert con artist.
