I think that happened when he was in his twenties... But then he didn' get under the influense of Annie Besant and Leadbeater from early childhood. I think he was around 12 when the brain washing him began. I meT capten Dick Balfour-Clarke, his English teacher in India 1971. He said Krisnamurthi was very upset about it, but he really had to tell the people around him that he was not any kind of Guru or Messias or The Star from the East. He always spoke against all kinds of religions and systems and cults...

I guess Maharaji lacked that kind of courage and strength...
