Hello Rjchinook!  And thank you for sharing your experience. Be glad it didn't take you very long to figure things out.  For some of us, it took many years!  Yes, you are right--thank heavens for the internet, where just about any information about anything is now available to the masses.  One of the main reasons it took so long for so many of us to see the other side of this story was that the information was very carefully controlled! ( a sure sign of a cult).  It was such a shock for me to learn about what was going on behind the scenes--and yet my soul knew something was off sometimes.  But Rawat discouraged the use of intelligence in this whole enterprise, and as the American author William Faulkner once said, "the heart knows the truth".  Ironic, when I think how MUCH Rawat talked about "the heart".

The Native American spirituality is very beautiful.  Don't lose it!
