Paddy, you wrote:-

If I believed there was something extra to be gained in life if you weren't a premie I'd be saying so.

You clearly haven't been reading this forum very carefully to make such a statement. Just about every ex-premie posting here has testified that after the emotional upheaval of rejecting Rawat there follows a sense of freedom ('liberation'?), and a renewed zest for life. This makes sense as Rawat's philosophy (still deeply embedded in me when I left, and I am sure in many old premies) is that this world isn't real. How can anyone truly enjoy and appreciate the things of this world with that albatross hanging in their minds?

For me the other benefit of leaving is an increased clarity of thought as I apply the lesson of questioning my belief in Rawat to other beliefs I hold, such as spiritual, political, environmental. Daring to question Rawat has enabled me to reexamine many other precious beliefs.

So if you, Paddy, didn't experience these benefits when you left, the least you could do for your premie friends is to relay the testimony of others who have experienced considerable improvements in their lives as a result of leaving Rawat.

John.
