Paddy, you seem to be saying that exiting the cult is like jumping the frying pan only to find yourself in the fire. That of course is the fear premies face when contemplating leaving 'Maharaji'.

Perhaps the giddy relief exiters feel does in part reflect the discovery that not only is it not a fire, the experience of living outside the confines of the cult is a darn sight richer and more comfortable than premiedom. Why? because you get yourself back. You get back everything you checked in at the door along with your shoes.

Bittersweet maybe seeing as we are not young anymore, but better late than never I find to be true.

I don't know how to put what I want to say without scratching my head for an hour or two, so I'll just spit out the phrase in my mind. Personal integrity. When your happiness is based on lies that is what you are losing.

And that matters. Despite what those 'truth is the consciousness of bliss' con merchants pretend.
