I miss Sanford too.He was banned , I'm not sure why. At the same time a whole thread was deleted ,with no explanation, that I had contributed to along with numerous others including Sanford . I was never able to go back over it and discover what the terrible crime was !

I did email him for the second time ever ( in case anyone thinks we had some secret pact to keep mentioning the " GOD" word on this forum! ) to check he was ok. He said he couldn't come back and post until he passed some kind of test set by the Mods ( ???) and that anyhow he had to many other things going on in his life to worry too much about it.( he said it was "small potatoes"...I love the expression!)

Around the same time he was also excluded from the AAA forum after a " slugfest" with Jim.

Anyhow, I may not have always agreed with Sanford, but I liked him and miss him...and he didn't deserve to be banned from anywhere ,anymore than certain other contributors IMO.

I found the whole business quite upsetting and it's one of the reasons that I haven't posted much lately. My heart and trust has gone out of this forum.  

Now, believe or not Anth, I may get told off for talking about the parameters of the forum instead of  discussing " issues".

Occasionally the question is asked about why the forum doesn't have more visitors and why the contributors are not more diverse in their backgrounds or whatever....The point is...this forum doesn't always feel open or welcoming....
