To be fair to those of us that JohnM quoted in that "Blinded by the Light" article, I don't retract what I said and I still back up that article.

I don't like it that John seems to imply that some kind of pressure was placed upon him by ex-premies to even write that article, as if his arm was twisted or something. So far as I know, it was his idea to write the article. The only contact I ever had with John was to confirm my B707 "gold toilet" statement, give John permision to use my -- yes my real name in that article --  and that was it. There wasn't any new information in the article that ex-premies weren't already aware of and hadn't already confirmed, except for John's personal statements about his own involvement in the cult. So there wasn't anything "reported" that wasn't already known and John's own behavior about all of this definitely is like a kick in my face. He was supposed to be the professional investigative journalist, after all.

I wish he never wrote the damn article, frankly, because it’s been nothing but trouble ever since, and it just wasn't worth it for me to involve myself with John or the article, given there wasn't anything new to report anyway. And now all of this intrusion into our forum space as if it’s John’s personal piece of cyberpace to communicate to Elan Vital, IRCC and Prem Rawat. It’s just not fair to all of the other ex-premies who have stuck their necks out over the years, using their real names, and have suffered the consequences of the cult’s enormous backlash. John’s not the only person who Prem Rawat ever hurt.

I do want to clear up here that John MacGregor never was any kind of figurehead or leader of "ex-premies" or EPO, and furthermore, he hardly ever posted on this forum. Indeed, John's posts have been very rare here all along.  The "John MacGregor is an ex-premie leader" has been a total fabrication of Elan Vital and premies.  In other words, he contributed very little to EPO and the forum.
