Not much happened in the humanitarian department in Hartford. There wasn't an official DLM ashram in Hartford until around 1977 anyway.
By 1977 we are in the dark, Catholic period, and the idea, the very idea that you would exert any effort in "service" for anyone other than Maharaji was just considerd the most absurd blasphemy.
You're really giving Catholicism a very bad rap. LOL! I wish I had gone through a Catholic convent instead of an ashram. Any day of the week. I have a couple of cousins who were nuns and they got their education, had professions, eventually left the convent with very little consequence, and married, had kids -- early on in their lives, too.
