Hi Jim,

It seems a little rich for you to criticise Prem Rawat for amassing much wealth from a 30 year series of donations from his followers helped along by judicious investments and donated businesses and then refusing to believe that he wouldn't donate part of this fortune to others while making the most positive public relations spin out of it.

Mr Rawat has all the wealth he could hope for, an assured if small follower base in the West and the capital and prestige of his western followers to defeat his elder brother in the "who has the most devotees in India competition" to show he was the true son of his father who inherited his mantle. The one thing he doesn't have but obviously aspires to is public respect. Why else would his organisations have spent so much effort changing his image to inspirational speaker and public benefactor?

Expect to see more of this in the future. It's uncertain at this time but don't be surprised to see Prem Rawat actually become a respected figure through good works or at least good donations. I'm pretty sure the premies would enjoy it as well, it's never as much fun being the follower of an abject figure of contempt as being the follower of a respected philanthropist.
