This is the thing that has been bugging me about TPRF. It is pretty clear that it was not based on an endowment from Rawat, yet it bears his name and he gets the credit. If he had made an endowment, you can bet that they would be spouting that all over the place. It is a pretty sleazy trick. Premies donate money to it or buy his paintings etc and once again he gets the credit as the great humanitarian leader.I suppose the one argument that could be made, and I'm sure has indeed been made, is that premie donations to TPRF theoretically might cut into the donations they would otherwise give to Rawat, so it potentially represents a loss of "income". The whole thing is a manipulative confusing message. Originally it is set up to promote the "teachings" of Rawat, ergo the name. It is not a foundation started by him but rather about him. Fair enough, like the Vivekananda Society (his previous incarnation ). But then TPRF starts promoting itself as a philanthropic institute, still bearing his name, and the casual observer thinks it is a charitable institute endowed by Prem Rawat. Whatever, it isn't my idea of ethical standards.
