The press release definitely isn't in the spirit of what a philanthropic foundation should be doing, because that is shameless promotion of an individual over the deed of giving, and over the rest of the contributors.  Lots of rich folks do that, although I don't know of any others who claim to be the LOTU.

Susan makes a good point about the list of donors, too.  As usual, the premies are just dust under those mighty generous feet.  Rawat gets the spotlight and credit, and everybody else appreciates him,  and premies only gets mentioned on that basis, not for their contributions.  What else is new?
