It is dangerous to blame the people that surround Rawat for the mistakes made in the organization.  The history of Elan Vital and Divine Light Mission is fraught with convenient scapegoats of all sorts; from Mishler to Dettmers, to EPO.

An organization ought to be judged by its members and its leader(s). A brief look into the history of DLM / EV will prove that, when PR decrees message-tuning, fingers will be pointed and heads will roll.

In arguments with premies, one thing is readily apparent; Premies aknowledge mistakes were made, but they were always the result of the people surrounding Rawat, and never Rawat himself. 

I ask you, John, hallucinogens aside, do you really think that Rawat is not accountable for misdeeds committed by DLM / EV? Do you seriously contend that Rawat lives off his own riches, and not the spoils of the unaware? Do you really think that today's initiates understand what they are accepting before they get indoctrinated? Is Elan Vital really a charitable organization?

In the sobering light of day, John, you will see that what moves Rawat is not spreading peace and inner fulfillment. Rawat's motivation comes from collecting his margin of profit.
