Most of the misdeeds *I* know about were perpetrated by OTHER people. "Is Elan Vital really a charitable organization?" Only in the sense that it promotes knowledge. (Tries to anyhow!) "Rawat's motivation comes from collecting his margin of profit." Well, I don't think so. The Rolls-Royce syndrome has upset many people to be sure. I'm told that Maharaji's personal income comes from family investments, and my belief is also that donations fund events, propagation, transport etc. Certainly within the "organisation" I've been regularly miffed by the exhorbitant spending of some. And I moan about it when I see it! I'm really not an expert on Maharaji's finances ... My FEELING is that Maharaji's motivation for doing what he does IS ridiculously altruistic, out of knowing something so fantastic that he's driven to share it with anyone who will accept it. I've never witnessed anything similar in any other human being. I wouldn't suggest that he's immune from farting, picking his nose etc, and I KNOW he has a taste for the occasional filthy joke but ... |
