On second thoughts, I have to admit that I feel the same way as you and Cynthia. I too found it difficult to maintain friendship with followers of SSB. The reason I initially wrote about positive things was because I wanted and still want to salvage something good from the whole SSB experience, which I find not easy. At least, I understand something about cults and self-deception and I know from experience that the devastation of disillusionment and leaving a cult is not an invention of anti-cult activists or confined to cultists who were deprogrammed as many scholars seem to think. I find it important not to become bitter or unrealistically cynical and suspicious because of this experience. Andries
