Writing off all models as flawed because of this one is a broad brush approach. Sorry, but I don't buy into that.

At this point with what we should have learned via TV as instructed by doctors and epidemiologists it should not be rocket science to see the train wreck that awaits us if there is no lockdown. Sure, there are definite economic and political problems due to the lockdowns.

Look at Russia. They're having 10,000 new cases each day. That's enormous and will probably go higher as community spread by asymptomatic carriers keep bouncing around.

At this point in time, the train has left the station with a lot of reopening in the US and other countries. South Korea and China are bracing for a second wave. In the US we only need to wait a month or less to see what the reopening does to the numbers. I would wager heavily that the number will rebound drastically and many people will die. It's not going to be easy.
