Don't imply that because I wish we'd do something about climate change that I'm celebrating the pandemic. That's absurd. The notion of saving the world isn't to save it from the human race, but to save it for the human race. The way we're headed, we'll be handing a very depleted, polluted and impoverished environment to those following us. Isn't that obvious?
My emphasis was meant to be not on the freedom to do what you like, but on the ignoring or denial of the consequences. Doing something just because you can, rather than trying to see the bigger picture.
