My 50th anniversary was a month ago. 1973 must've been a bumper crop year. Unlike Susan, that's my number one favorite graphic you ever made. (I can't imagine how inspiring her favorite must've been.) I think of it as a monument to the courage and fortitude of the ex-premies who shattered taboos and turned around after they left the cult to throw a lifeline to people like us.
Some people might think of it as low-brow, vulgar, crass or beneath the dignity of a "concious" civilized person, especially those lofty "clearer than thou" premie types. I don't. It's precisely how I felt and how I reacted when I read Prem Rawat's quote that inspired it. It wasn't the "unlit matches" that got my ire up, it was the rest of the quote, the "came for the wrong reasons" part that made me see red!
THAT was truly low-brow, vulgar, crass and... I won't even go into the travesty of the "peace, dignity and prosperity" part.
Happy to scratch another debt off my list, but I still owe you.
PS, TED and friends banging out Arti on some rusty old barrels out behind the shed was right up there on my list, too!
