>Once again we have premies for whom M cannot do anything 'wrong' and ex premies for whom he cannot do anyhing 'right'. One can excuse premies for refusing to 'grow up' because growing up is not on the agenda for them but what is the ex's excuse?<
Billy, try taking a step back - neither Bill nor I were exactly advancing a complete dialectic for understanding Rawat's 35 years as Guru/con artist. Before berating anyone, if you are that concerned perhaps you would like to define - within context - what we might each mean by 'right'. As Neville points out from Rawat's selfish interest he has indeed got 'many' things right.
The perspective that most interests me is how DLM/EV/TPRF etc function organisationally and socialogically. I would argue that Rawat's role has been both malign and incompetant in almost every aspect that he had influence. I know there are people who dislike the comparison, but I think that there is something Hitlerian about Rawat, and in the same way that Hitler - who was certainly skilled at rousing a crowd - also came to believe he was a great General, so Rawat actually has come to believe in his capacity to lead, to inspire and to make organisational and business decisions. The evidence is that Rawat's business sense is only marginally better than a Halloween pumpkin and his ability to lead is based on intimidation and insult. Within those terms I do believe that he has indeed, 'never got anything right'.
