Paddy squeezed my eyes so hard I thought I would scream! He was pretty determined that I was going to see light! I saw it all right - but it was from the intense pressure. After practising this way for a couple of years, my eyes started to deteriorate and the optometrist wondered why my eyes would start to go bad at such a late age! What could I say? I could hardly tell him that I had been taught to squeeze my eyeballs really hard to see light!Later we were told not to squeeze the eyes - just to use a really light touch, and of course we had only imagined being told to squeeze hard - it had never happened! I still remember the feel of Paddy's fingers on my eyes though - can't forget that.
