Hello Godo,

You said:

The way I see it is that Maharaji has the ability to show you and remind you of the power within you. Even if you think Maharaji is deceitful, that doesn't change whether or not you have that power within you. My experience is that there definitely is a power within - whatever you want to call it, the power of love, a guiding light, peace, whatever you want to call it - it can be difficult to believe sometimes that peace, love, etc., lie within if you are not experiencing it, but when you experience it, you know it's there. You don't have to believe in Maharaji to experience it. But Maharaji is always talking about it, so at the very least, he is reminding people about it.

I think that following Maharaji is exactly like "Waiting for Godot."  We have a lot in common, I also like that play and have seen it performed by professional actors.  It's not a play I'd want to read or watch often though.  It can get boring because the point is so obvious.

Godo, Maharaji never "showed" me anything.  He wasn't in my K session room.  Was he in yours physically, and if not, can you explain how you got K through a Mahatma or Instructor?

I'm intrigued by your statement:  "Even if you think Maharaji is deceitful, that doesn't change whether or not you have that power within you"

In a situation where someone is claiming to give someone the Knowledge of their Self I can't imagine how being deceitful could ever fit into that picture and be acceptable.  But you are saying that it is -- if that's what I think -- which, btw, is true.  I do think Maharaji is deceitful, yet he makes claims about being able to impart what he says is the knowledge of the essence of life.  The Elan Vital!  The vital force of life!.

Do you remember how many times Maharaji said this to people:  "Come with a guileless heart?" and "No cheat or deceit?"  He said this more times than I can count.

Why is it that you think Maharaji is exempt from deceit when he claims to offer the greatest gift a human being could ever receive?

Can you explain this?

Thanks!

Cynthia
