I really hadn't thought too deeply about why I have come here. I just felt like it. Maybe it's a long story really, and maybe there is more than one reason. I've been on other message boards recently - just in the past year - nothing to do with Maharaji or Knowledge or anything like that - mainly on a board dedicated to a famous rock star whom I am a fan of (who shall remain nameless - I don't want to give too much away about myself, at least not yet!) - and I have started to enjoy message boards. But on this board I can talk about Maharaji (whereas I feel it would definitely not be appropriate to talk about Maharaji on the other boards I've been on). So I have the opportunity to express myself on this board in a way I feel I cannot on other boards. And it's a different sort of experience for me, compared to other boards, it's interesting, being in the lion's den, and all that!

I recently said to a person on one of the other boards that I think it can be illuminating - rather than threatening - to listen to opinions which are very different to your own opinions, so I am taking my own advice now.

And I enjoy putting forward my own views, and trying to write as clearly as possible - I've had plenty of practice in the last year on the other boards!

If you wish to think that I am "trying to use this forum for propagation", I don't mind if you think in those terms, but it's not the way I would view it. IF I managed to persuade someone on this board that what Maharaji has to offer is something very positive and worthwhile, then I would naturally be delighted, but I am certainly not expecting to be able to do that, and even if I did, I probably would never even find out about it. But I believe in justice and fairness, and since this forum is open to those who wish to speak in favour of Maharaji, I feel it would be good to put forward that positive side of the argument, as well as the usual negative opinions about Maharaji on this anti-Maharaji site. I am sure I am not the only one who has been, or will be, in favour of Maharaji on this board - but I am new here, so I don't really know yet (though I have visited this site very occasionally, in the past, more than a year ago).

I don't know anyone else on this board, not as far as I am aware anyway, though maybe I'll find out that there is someone here I know, but I think that's unlikely.

Maybe I'm wasting my time being here, but I'm doing it anyway. If I ever feel it's a waste of my time, then (hopefully!) I'll leave. But, for the moment anyway, I'm here. I never intended staying on the rock star board for long, but I'm still there after more than a year, even though I have often felt it's a waste of time being there - perhaps you know the feeling! Who knows how long I'll stay on this board. I don't.

I'm not Australian, I come from the diametrically opposite side of the world. It's after 2.30am here - I'm sometimes a bit of a night owl - but I'd better stop now.
