Hi there Andries You say that "Correcting the information on religious groups rarely develops in such bitter, long-lasting fights, such as with Prem Rawat/Maharaji", I take it that you mean that exes' opposition to premies and supporters of Rawat using/abusing a supposedly "encyclopaedic" site to promote their own agenda is, in fact, a rare occurence with other religious groups/cults. Well if that's so, it's a shame. If Wiki is to be nothing more than an advertisement for any and every cult under the sun, then something has to be done to address this blatant inconsistency with Wiki's professed "Neutral Point of View" stance. Is the future of Wiki to be simply a free, unchallenged advertisement-opportunity for every scam under the sun? Those scams then enjoying the publicity that parading under a fake "authenticity" which inclusion in the "encylopaedia" implies? How long before Wiki starts taking money for including an article on the more controversial scam-artists? Are Wiki's bosses above that kind of influence? How is anyone to know? The pro-Rawat article indicates the direction Wiki is prepared to go.
