Shri Hans definitely had two wives. He had a daughter by the first one (I have met them both), and of course the four sons by the second one (Mataji). So Rawat has a half-sister.
When I was staying at Prem Nagar ashram in India in the early 70's, the first wife was living there, sweeping etc and doing menial 'service'. I remember being inspired by her example, of how humble she was; but of course I don't know what was really going on under the surface - her English was very rudimentary.
