Yeah I knew well enough that you were referring to the posts down somewhere below concerning spirituality, God and stuff.
-Thorin >Yeah, I got gangbanged by Cynthia, nemesis, the moderators, Jim, and gerry. All I did was bring up some stuff from the Upanishads about how those who know the Self are beyond the law, but it is a perversion of that quote to think one can be an outlaw and still be in the Grace of God if they know it's not cool to be an outlaw....then I mentioned something about God and tried to pre-empt any flak from non-believers with a short respectful comment, and I also respectfully suggested that Cynthia try a calming tea, since she seemed to be running a bit hot imho. It was then that things went south, with Cynthia going off on me about preaching (which I was not doing...I am being profiled here now and a peep about God is now called preaching and I get the boot. Bullshit I say. She took both my comments about atheists and about the tea totally negatively and went off on me, with support from the management obviously, because they edited the thread and gave her the last word. What a crock. -Sanford
>I know. But that is not how I ws coming on. You can look at the posts yourself. I was not trying to have a chat or discuss or debate. I was just noting that thing about the Upanishads that happened to come to me, that shed light on how Prem may have been brought up, not to excuse him , but to understand him, what made him who is he today. -Sanford I do agree with you that God is germaine to this forum. After all we all thought we knew who God was and that we were blessed to be able to kiss his feet in some silk lined tunnel and listen to him drone on about flying and watches. But then we realised that it was all a charade and that was that. Chatting about why we believed in such rot, what the process is that got us there and out again is very topical. Chatting about what we now believe is god, spirituality AND taking umbrage when other people won't say "yes sir, no sir" is off topic. -Thorin >Imho, The saddest thing that could happen to someone who came in contact with Prem Rawat and then left under negative circumstances would be if they had lost their faith in God becaue of it. But that is my opinion only of course. -Thorin >Of course. -Sanford What do you think of Massimo Introvigne? Should we invite him to this forum? -Thorin >Please excuse my ignorance. If you will direct me to something that I can read to intelligently answer your question, I would be happy to offer my ideas on that.
