There's no evidence that there ever was one 'Kabir'. The likelyhood is that there was a school of bhakti poets at that time (late C15th),all subsequently lumped under the name of Kabir, but whether they were influenced by New Testament ideas is probably unknowable.The interesting thing to me is how this stuff got incorporated into the (C19th) Hindu reform movements, & then a century later it's all over the western world. I'm just bullshitting here really, but when it all comes down to it, I blame the Beatles.
