I didn't want to nitpick about everything so I let your statement "Maharaji has taught the same techniques for nearly 40 years" go by as a metaphor for the people who actually taught the techniques (but they did so much more, they "revealed Knowledge" and without their actual touch to connect the revealee to Rawat's grace the techniques were useless, remember?).

In fact most of the Mahatmas were taught the techniques by Shri Hans or other mahatmas taught by him. I didn't ever hear that young Rawat was "revealing Knowledge" personally. Some of the younger Mahatmas like Padarthanand presumably "received knowledge" while young Rawat was the Perfect Master and Lord of the Universe.

I'm sure JHB is speaking from personal experience or first hand testimony when he says not all mahatmas used strong pressure on the eyeballs but this just shows how little effort young Rawat had made to ensure the mahatmas were teaching the "correct" techniques. On the other hand, how would young Rawat know he had the correct techniques? He had been showed them when he was six and as testimony from some ex-PAMS reveals he never has done much meditation.

Once when some premie were talking about meditation it turned out that some mahatmas had taught 'So' on the breath intake and 'Hung' on the outbeat and some the other way around. I'd never squeezed my eyes hard or bothered with the mantra anyway so maybe that explains why I realised the truth about Knowledge so quickly. I was using the correct "Premian" techniques more than 10 years before he caught up teaching everybody else at Rejoice.

On the other hand I was a monster for constant meditation. Maybe that's why I became an apostate, I was breaking his later commandment not to constantly meditate and remember Holy Name.
