For goodness sake Reporter...I can't abide all this rewriting of history.When did you "receive knowledge" anyway?
I did in October 1973 so this month it's my 32nd premie birthday.
I remember that Ashokanand told us to,with our eyes shut, kind of push our eyeballs upwards towards our nose using our thumb on the right eye and the finger next to the index on the left eye. That's the way I practised the tecnique. Then at the Rejoice mass moonie-esque Knowledge reviews this was changed to the simpler version still practised today. The "holy name" tecnique didn't change but was explained in a simpler way as was the "music" one, the nectar one was simplified so you didn't have to force the tongue back anymore.At some point the constant remembering of "holy name" was phased out....and this was verified at the Rejoice sessions...suddenly we only had to meditate for an hour ( was it? ) instead of all day. I'm one of the schmucks who earnestly tried to remember " the word or holy name " all day when I was first a premie at 19.I wandered around like a gormless zombie "waiting to catch his order in the very midst of the fight" ( "At the feet of the Master" song....so nostalgic...I really believed it...oh my God!).
Maharaji was still giving these mass knowledge reviews at programmes up until the last one I went to ,three years ago and saying the same stuff. The names changed to numbers but IMO that was a very bad idea as I can never remember which number is which ( too abstract).
I felt he gave the review because it filled up time without M. having to do very much ( 15 minutes each tech.) and made us feel we were getting our moneys worth at the programme (or not).
So Mr Reporter don't come here with your mish- mash of nonsense....I was an expert premie....totally devoted , endlessly going to satsang, doing service, giving donations , giving satsang,helping other premies and trying to be pure and perfect in every way ( LOL)....so don't come here telling me that black was white and white was black. It's highly annoying.Grrrrr!
