This has probably been obvious to most folks for a long time, but I just tumbled to it. Why did goomraji set up a foundation in the first place? What was the point of that? Well, duh. When he quit having the three day festivals and stopped the darshan, at least "for the record" he doesn't do the darshan thing anymore, his cash receipts had to drop way off. So, they began encouraging people to just set up a regular credit card payment or bank debit. Perfect, right? Nope, the potential for tax trouble was too high. Not like in the "good old days" when you could get folks to drop a chunk of cash for a chance at the holy socks. (Do you suppose he auctioned his socks at his marvy auction where he "gifted" a bunch of crap away?) Anyway, enter TPRF. Looks legit. Hey, rawat's a real live philanthropist. Well, lookie there. Yep, now he can keep bringing in bucks, via credit card, (nasty paper trail) and get away with anything, same as always. I have to say, goomraji, I doff my chapeau. Nice bit of work, that. Hey, goomraji, if the guru thing folds, and it's only a matter of time, write a book: Tax Dodging for Dummies.
