I've often wondered if there are any gurus out there (dead or alive) that were not abusive shits or allowed the power that was given to them to not corrupt them in due course.

Like I mean teachers that actually taught something really useful, just for the sake of teaching, nothing more.  I guess it all comes down to whether people feel there is 'something' to be 'taught'.  I personally no longer believe there is something that can be imparted or taught, well not in the inner realisation stakes anyway, god realisation and all that.  Playing the guitar or understanding maths or the like is of course different, that certainly can be taught.

But back to my question of there being any gurus who were not abusive shits.  In all my research and reading over the years I certainly have not come across anyone who were not abusive shits, some more than others.  Oh well maybe the Dalai Lama?
