That looks interesting. But I think the evolutionary psychologists/philosophers are jumping the gun in claiming that Darwinism has nailed the coffin shut on humankind's belief in a special purpose. All Darwinism has done is changed the details. Where people once believed in the Book Of Genesis, now they've evolved their thinking to include scientific discoveries.
But there's one blow that I think most believers' faith will not survive, when it can be shown that there is no soul that survives the body. That will happen when science discovers the secret to consciousness itself, if it ever actually does. Right now, most scientists believe consciousness depends upon a living brain. I happen to agree.
But that hasn't affected my faith in God. I don't need to have a soul that survives death to believe in God. To me, only God is immortal. Everything else just comes and goes, including people. But I doubt there's very many other believers who feel the same way.
