I like your analysis nya. The guru game, the wider power plays and all that we are a part of in this hierarchical world is fascinating. There comes a point when we see it for what it is and just have to smile… or laugh… or cry.
But then we may have a choice…. To carry on and play the game or not, it depends whats in it for me doesn`t it ?
In the end I think we each take responsibility for our own actions and the consequences of them. There was a saying I read once when I was learning all about this shit that seemed so profound to me once…` the guru appears when the disciple is ready`.
I never read that the guru also disappears when the disciple is ready because all the words were written by the gurus.
Maharaji/Rawat appears to be attempting to salvage what he can from the debacle of his image and to hold on to that illgotten wealth.
It is all desperately sad, and I look forward to seeing how it plays out.
