The Prem Rawat Foundation: Words Of Peace Rated Number Six By Brisbane Channel 31 Viewers

Briz 31 announced that Words of Peace is now its sixth highest rated program.

For Immediate Release

BRISBANE, Australia/EWORLDWIRE/Aug. 24, 2005 --- Briz 31 today announced that Words of Peace is now its sixth highest rated program. This award-winning half-hour series features highlights from addresses by Prem Rawat, also widely known as Maharaji. The series first aired on Briz 31 eighteen months ago.

Words of Peace airs each week, year round, in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Europe and South America.

The show debuted in Australia in Melbourne two years ago on Channel 31, one of only six free-to-air television channels. According to OZTam, Words of Peace typically reaches over 13,000 households in Melbourne. Ratings are also increasing steadily in Auckland (Triangle TV), Perth (Access 31) and Adelaide (C31).

The Brazilian Association of Community Television Channels granted Words of Peace its highest award in November last year. In Europe, the series is shown each week via satellite in twelve languages.

"With Words of Peace seen each week on television throughout the country, Prem Rawat has become widely known and recognized in Australia. People watch Words of Peace in homes, gymnasiums, nursing homes and hospitals around the country. Viewers find his message comforting," said Katherine Messner, an advertising executive in Brisbane. In Melbourne, more than 1,400 people have called or written asking to be notified when Prem Rawat holds an event in Australia.

Prem Rawat brings a message of hope and peace. Addressing a distinguished audience of civic, government and academic leaders at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand, Rawat said: "What we're looking for is happiness, and in all our searching who do we forget? Ourselves. Whatever the equation is that you have created, please include yourself in it, because without you, without your heart, without peace in your life, there can never be peace in the world."
