I remember Maharaji saying that people would look at him then look at premies to decide whether to look at him again. Maybe that's yet another reason for dropping numbers in aspirants.I am quite fond of a number of premies I know, but takes a fair amount of disfunctionality to ignore the evidence about Maharaji that is so freely available nowadays. Whatever keeps premies in the cult now is a very different condition to the somewhat charming youthful naivity, enthusiasm and idealism that got them involved 30 years ago.
On the other hand, most of the ex-premies I know - at least half of which I have met through the forums over the last five years - are a very different story. They have proved to be very enjoyable company indeed (and some have become good friends) with integrity that remains intact and an extraordinary sense of humour.
