I assume from the many comments malibu prem has made over the years that this is supposedly to help the student not forget their core experience of knowledge.

That then presumes someone stuck in an environment without being able to stay in touch would miss out or forget.

I thought this knowledge was supposed to be self-sustaining?

I've never had any trouble remembering core experiences, and I've never met anyone else who has either.

But more importantly, how the hell did we end up with this supposedly sacred knowledge, a search from the core of our hearts, without a yearning that ran deep, and pretty continuously?

Then when we have access to this experience we're gonna forget???

Oddness, unless of course you buy the line of the mind getting stirred up like sand at the bottom of the sea by k, in a more lively way than 'mr mind' usually operates.

Of course if as jonx says faith is a part of the package then no wonder you need to stay in touch.

And apologies if my experience of k and the 'sacred' wind anyone up here, but after years of not seeing one premie talk about k at a level I know I've experienced it, I've decided to start speaking out and challenging them.
