Any kind of meditation -- nay any kind of "concentration" would have given you those experiences.  There is nothing inherent about the techniques.  My point was the "experience" comes from concentration, not the four techniques.

I never did LSD, so I guess I can't compare, but if I was having LSD-type "experiences" for those 10 years,  I guess I wasn't missing anything by never having done LSD.
