Just because I didn't get death threats or a snake in my mailbox, or got high pressured phone calls and visits at my front door by members, doesn't mean its not a cult, I did lose my job after all. I was up front and honest with my boss that it just wans't for me, that I was not able to make the type of commitment they required, and even said I wished him well and respected his choices, yet... I was still "laid off"

Look if you get some bennifit out of "M" and your happy about good for you, I would just strongly urge you not to give him any money and time, and see how well things go for you.
just try it for a year, and see what happens, no matter how hard you try to fight your good judgement, its still there somewhere deep inside of you... use it, its your real gift from God.
