Hi John!  I remember a few years ago that a regional event was planned for our area to which Maharaji might come, but between us all (it was 4 or 5 states) we had to pledge something like $18,000 for it to be even considered by him.  Alas, I have no documentation for this--I just remember that I did pledge some towards it, but it wasn't long after that that I left the whole thing behind, and I don't know if the event even happened.  I think not.  What happened to the money that was pledged I have no idea.  Mine was a small amount that I think I just considered "dues" for my learning process--and let it go.  But I would hope that anyone who pledged large amounts would have something to say about that, if the event doesn't happen.  Does anyone know if there's ever been any such thing as a refund in the EV and knowledge realms?!
