I recently had a hard time translating 'conceit' into french and I eventually found out the best translation i could come up with is 'vanité', which is very close to your 'vanity'. Don't you think His CONCEIT is not somehow kind of more accurate on that particular subject ? Just for me to really understand a little more about these two words. Regarding my once Dearest Friend, I do know just like, you know, enough.
