Hi Jonti, quite!
and then you get into the nature of 'intuition' - constructed from the history of our own individual sense experiences? or from inherited, genetically encoded traces of the knowledge of the 'fathers'? And how did I acquire meaning for 'intuition'? Have you looked at Jaques Lacan? - equates language with the unconscious - it's all already there. As individuals we are initiated (imaginary, mirror, and symbolic phases - the symbolic being the stage of identification with the father: authority and the social order) - we don't actually create much of anything at all. Re. the topic, it's interesting to read Lacan alongside Freud's 'Totem and Taboo' (Lacan, interestingly, reinterpreted Freud and in an attempted 'castration' was expelled from the French academy of psychiatrists) - the 60's and 70's - murder of the father by the band of brothers, then remorse and the re-establishment of the father. Have to go think of other things now and not sure if this is the right place for these musings.
