Perhaps an indirect connection, in that they arose from the same source?
Or that the one readily filled the vacuum created by the loss of the other? What I'm trying to get at is the need to be led, have our hand held, whether it be by god, leading politicians, the historical socio-political framework, science (as Moses leading us to the promised land), or any number of manifestations of the 'father'. A need that is very successfully exploited by certain unscrupulous individuals.
But I don't want to be contentious. I am the person who believes the dishwasher is the greatest invention of all time (only kidding!). I heard the other day that the winner of a poll on the greatest innovation of all time was the safety bicycle. Bit of a shocker. I was sure the dishwasher would win.
